How to jump-start a car
This is what every AptKeys how-to looks like: what to do, in order, in plain words. Gloves and glasses on, both cars off, parked close but not touching. Then clamp in this order.
- 1Red to dead +Red clamp on the dead battery's + terminal.
- 2Red to good +Other red clamp on the good battery's + terminal.
- 3Black to good −Black clamp on the good battery's − terminal.
- 4Black to bare metalOn the dead car, away from the battery. Never the dead battery itself.
Start the good car, wait 3 to 5 minutes, then start yours. Take the clamps off in reverse.
